On July 23rd 2019, Richmondshire District Council declared an Environment and Climate Emergency. The council committed to making its own activities net-zero for carbon by 2030, and to reach out across the district with the aim of securing net-zero for the whole of Richmondshire.
The commitment included creating a Climate Change Partnership Group, (involving councillors, residents, young citizens, climate science and solutions experts, businesses, and other relevant parties) to create a plan and take action towards this goal.
The Partnership launched officially on Wednesday 24th March 2021. It's purpose: to mobilise and support the Richmondshire community to get things done. Explore how the Partnership is organised and find out how to get involved!
